External Nest Boxes - flip DOWN door (stays open) not a roof that LIFTS up that you have to hold open......make hinged door flush with floor of nest box for "sweep out" option. Also, I will put a tote box with back & front hole cut out in each nest box....for egg access from outside, & easy clean out. The whole nest box can be removed & washed. Also around the tote box, keep enough space so staw can be tucked around it in winter for insulation so the eggs don't freeze.
